With approximately 5.2 cubic yards of actual capacity, a 50-inch internal width, and a large open top, the 5 CY model gives excavator and backhoe operators easy access to bedding sand, gravel, soil, and other materials while working along an open trench.

During trenching operations, material can be delivered into the box from a staging area while the excavator removes only the amount required for pipe bedding or grading.
