Bear Iron Works Removable Screen for Koala Grizzly Rock Screen

The Bear Iron Works Koala Removable Screen is an interchangeable screening insert designed specifically for the Koala Grizzly Rock Screen. It allows operators using yard tractors, ride-on skid steers, and other compact equipment to produce more precisely sized soil, aggregate, sand, and landscaping material without changing the main Grizzly.

The removable screen uses abrasion-resistant square-wire crusher mesh similar to screening media used in larger aggregate-processing equipment. The square openings provide more consistent material sizing than the fixed Grizzly rails alone, making the system useful for producing screened topsoil, cleaning landscape material, separating debris, and other fine-screening applications.

Bear Iron Works uses a hook-style mounting system that allows the screen to be installed, removed, or exchanged using the equipment bucket rather than traditional bolts and pins. Built-in movement in the screen assembly can also help operators shake loose compacted material during use.

The Koala Removable Screen is an accessory only and requires the Bear Iron Works Koala Grizzly Rock Screen for operation.

Which screen size should you choose?

Choose the opening based on the largest finished material size you want to pass through the screen.

4", 3", 2-1/2" and 2": Best for coarse screening where larger finished aggregate is acceptable.

1-1/2", 1-1/4" and 1": Good general-purpose choices for landscaping material, soil cleaning, and intermediate aggregate sizing.

3/4" and 1/2": Better for finer soil, landscaping applications, and more consistent finished material.

3/8" and 1/4": Best when producing finer screened soil or other applications requiring smaller finished particles.

One supplier-data note: Bear's 2027 technical sheet describes the removable-screen range as 1/4"–3", while the current Shopify catalog also includes a 4" variant. Since the 4" variant has an actual supplier SKU, I would keep it in Shopify.
