Bear Iron Works Removable Screen for Mama Grizzly Rock Screen

The Bear Iron Works Mama Removable Screen is an interchangeable screening insert designed specifically for the Mama Grizzly Rock Screen. It allows contractors using backhoes, larger tractors, and other compatible equipment to produce more precisely sized soil, aggregate, sand, gravel, and landscaping material without replacing the main Grizzly.

While the standard Mama Grizzly handles coarse material separation using its solid steel screening rails, the removable screen adds a finer screening layer with openings ranging from 3 inches down to 1/4 inch.

Bear Iron Works uses square-wire crusher screen material similar to screening media found in larger aggregate-processing equipment. The square openings provide consistent particle sizing, making the removable screen useful for topsoil production, sand screening, aggregate separation, land development, construction-site cleanup, and other applications where more precise finished material is required.

The screen uses Bear Iron Works' equipment-assisted hook system. Operators can install, remove, or exchange screen sizes using the cutting edge of the equipment bucket rather than repeatedly fastening conventional bolts or pins.

The Mama Removable Screen is designed specifically as an accessory for the Mama Grizzly Rock Screen and is not intended to operate as a standalone screening machine.

Which screen size should you choose?

3", 2-1/2" and 2": Best for coarser aggregate and material separation where larger finished particles are acceptable.

1-1/2", 1-1/4" and 1": Good general-purpose choices for soil processing, landscaping material, gravel, and intermediate aggregate sizing.

3/4" and 1/2": Better for finer landscaping material, screened soil, and applications requiring more uniform finished material.

3/8" and 1/4": Best for finer topsoil, sand screening, and other applications where smaller finished material is required.

Bear's current supplier catalog provides 10 Mama removable-screen sizes from 3" down to 1/4".
