Bear Iron Works Mama Grizzly Rock Screen for Backhoes & Tractors

The Bear Iron Works Mama Grizzly Rock Screen is a heavy-duty material screening solution designed for contractors using standard-size backhoes, larger tractors, skid steers, and other suitable jobsite equipment. With an actual screening capacity of approximately 3.4 cubic yards, the Mama provides a larger working area than the Cub while remaining practical for everyday construction, excavation, landscaping, and aggregate-processing applications.

Built with solid steel screening bars rather than hollow tubing, the Mama is designed to withstand repeated impact while maintaining consistent screen openings. The square-welded frame helps reduce bar deflection, funneling, and material jams, allowing soil and aggregate to flow efficiently across the screen.

The standard configuration uses 3-inch screen spacing, while available spacing options allow the machine to be configured for different material sizes. For finer screening, an optional removable screen system can be added using abrasion-resistant crusher mesh. The removable system is designed to be changed using the operator’s equipment without relying on traditional bolts or fasteners.

The Mama is positioned as Bear Iron Works’ standard Grizzly for larger jobsite applications. It is particularly well suited to contractors who have outgrown the Cub and need additional width and capacity without moving all the way up to the loader-sized Papa.

Koala: Designed for smaller yard tractors and ride-on skid steers where compact size and maneuverability are the priority.

Growler: A step up from the Koala for compact skid steers and utility tractors.

Cub: Designed primarily for standard skid steers and general contractor screening applications.

Mama: Choose the Mama for standard-size backhoes, larger tractors, large skid steers, and jobs that require more screening capacity than the Cub.

Papa: Designed for full-size loaders and heavy-duty aggregate, riprap, large-rock, and high-production screening applications.
